Amigurumi Chocolatier and Eccentric Hatter Crochet Pattern

My dear creator, I am overjoyed to guide your hands through this magnificent undertaking.

Creating character pieces requires a discerning eye. We must capture the essence of their eccentricities without overcomplicating the structural mechanics. Today, we are crafting the Chocolatier and the Hatter. Notice the deep, rich burgundy of the Chocolatier’s coat, contrasting sharply with the vibrant, chaotic curls of the Hatter.

These figures are commanding yet inherently soft. By expanding the cranium rapidly and setting the safety eyes low, we force that undeniable, innocent gaze. Strict tension is your greatest ally here. Maintain a tight grip on your yarn, and trust the mathematics of the pattern.

Let us begin.

About This Creation

These two master craftsmen represent the duality of genius. The Chocolatier is precise and sharply dressed, featuring tailored black trousers, a golden chain detail, and a perfectly smooth bob. The Hatter is chaotic brilliance, boasting mismatched boot cuffs, an oversized bow tie, and a magnificent mane of coiled orange locks. Both stand proudly using our signature 70/30 head-to-body proportion, demanding attention in any collection.

Assembly Instructions

➡️ Preparation: Insert your supportive dowel or rolled felt halfway into the neck opening of the body.

➡️ The Head: Press the head firmly down onto the support. Sew Round 25 of the head securely to Round 16 of the body, working stitch by stitch.

➡️ The Hair: Pull the hair caps tightly over the heads. Sew them firmly in place around Round 10 of the heads.

➡️ The Arms: Pin the arms to the sides of the body, perfectly aligned with Round 15. Sew them flat against the torso.

➡️ The Coats: Slip the finished coats over the arms and body. They are designed to sit open, requiring no sewing.

➡️ The Accessories: Sew the Hatter’s bow tie directly beneath his chin. Position the top hats at a slight, rakish angle on the hair and sew them down securely so they do not topple.

➡️ Final Touches: Apply a small amount of pink blush beneath the Hatter’s eyes, and a touch of light blue eyeshadow above them.
