Daisy the Meadow Maiden & Pearl the Kitten Amigurumi Project

Greetings once more, my fellow artisan. I have spent the morning carefully drafting our mathematics and ensuring every curve of our meadow maiden is architecturally sound.

In crochet, we build form through tension and logic. We do not rely on guesswork. We engineer it.

About This Creation

Daisy is a testament to proportion and structure. By deliberately front-loading our increases on the facial plane, we sculpt those distinctive, youthful cheeks without warping the back of the head. Her wardrobe is entirely modular, allowing you to appreciate the rigid flare of the skirt achieved through double crochet mechanics.

The Pattern

The Head

We begin at the crown. Work in continuous spirals.

R1: 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)

R2: 6 inc. (12)

R3: [1 sc, 1 inc] x 6. (18)

R4: [2 sc, 1 inc] x 6. (24)

R5: [3 sc, 1 inc] x 6. (30)

R6: [4 sc, 1 inc] x 6. (36)

R7: [5 sc, 1 inc] x 6. (42)

R8 to R14: 42 sc. (42)

Patricia’s Note: Pause here. Insert your 8mm safety eyes between R14 and R15, leaving exactly 9 stitches of space between them. This wide placement anchors our innocent expression.

R15: 12 sc, [1 inc, 1 sc] x 4, 2 sc, [1 sc, 1 inc] x 4, 12 sc. (50)

Observe how those localized increases build the cheek volume exactly where we need it.

R16 to R18: 50 sc. (50)

R19: 12 sc, [1 dec, 1 sc] x 4, 2 sc, [1 sc, 1 dec] x 4, 12 sc. (42)

R20: [5 sc, 1 dec] x 6. (36)

R21: [4 sc, 1 dec] x 6. (30)

R22: [3 sc, 1 dec] x 6. (24)

R23: [2 sc, 1 dec] x 6. (18)

Stuff the head firmly now. Pack the cheeks tight to hold their shape.

For the bangs, use Pale Yellow on a yarn needle to embroider straight, horizontal stitches across the front of the Hair Base, covering rounds 12 through 15.
