Adorable Amigurumi Camel Crochet Pattern: Step-by-Step Guide

Greetings to you in the atelier. I am Patricia. Today, we bring our desert companion to life. This project requires precision in our shaping and patience in our assembly, but the resulting form will be undeniably striking. We are utilizing the signature wide-set eyes and oversized head to capture that perfect, innocent gaze. Let us begin our work.

About This Creation

This charming camel is a masterclass in structural crochet. We focus heavily on establishing a solid foundation in the body to support the distinct, oversized head. By working asymmetrical increases into the face, we cultivate soft, rounded cheeks that radiate character. The addition of a beautifully textured saddle blanket and dimensional hooves elevates the entire design from a simple toy to a true artisan piece.

Final Assembly

➡️ Step 1: Pin the open neck perfectly centered to the bottom of the head (around Rounds 19-21). Sew securely, adding a final pinch of stuffing before closing the gap entirely.

➡️ Step 2: Sew the cream snout to the face between Rounds 14 and 20, centered between the eyes. Add stuffing beneath the snout before completely closing the seam.

➡️ Step 3: Using black embroidery floss, stitch a clear “Y” shape directly onto the center of the cream snout.

➡️ Step 4: Attach the pinched ears to the sides of the head at Round 10. Sew the pink flower just in front of the right ear.

➡️ Step 5: Sew the hair tuft directly to the top center of the head, pulling the loops upward to create volume.

➡️ Step 6: Lightly stuff the hump and sew it securely to the upper back of the main body, just behind the neck.

➡️ Step 7: Sew the four stuffed cream hooves to the open bottoms of the four tan legs. Ensure the textured loops of Round 7 cover the joining seam.

➡️ Step 8: Position the four completed limbs in a seated posture against the lower body. The front legs should face forward, and the back legs should point outward. Sew firmly in place.

➡️ Step 9: Drape the saddle blanket directly over the hump. You may stitch it down lightly at the four compass points to prevent shifting.

➡️ Step 10: Slide the mustard yellow halter over the snout, pulling the long strap over the back of the head, resting just behind the ears.
