My dear creator, welcome back to the workbench. It is a joy to share this space with you again. Today, we are focusing our energy on structure, scale, and the precise geometry that elevates a simple project into an artistic statement.
We are crafting a striking, expressive character defined by vivid textures and classic proportions. This project will push your technique, particularly through asymmetrical face sculpting and structured color shifts. Let us pick up our hooks and begin with absolute focus.
Double-space between lines/lists.
About This Creation
This design celebrates dramatic structural contrasts. We balance a voluminous, textured curly coif with a slender, delicate body frame. The focal points are the oversized, low-set eyes that command attention, paired with a vibrant, meticulously striped balloon-sleeve sweater. Every element, from the tiny crossbody satchel to the structural loafers, is treated as an essential piece of the narrative.

The Pattern
Head (Skin Tone Yarn)
We begin at the top of the crown. We will build a clean sphere before introducing concentrated increase zones to map out our soft, prominent cheeks.

Round 21: [sc 1, dec] x 8. (16)
Round 22 to Round 25: sc in each st around for the neck column. (16)
Fasten off, leaving a long tail for assembly. Insert the 10mm safety eyes between Rounds 13 and 14, leaving a clear gap of 9 stitches between them. Stuff the head firmly, ensuring the fiberfill expands into the cheek increases to hold the expression.
Hair Wig Cap & Curls (Vibrant Orange Yarn)
The hair requires a solid base cap followed by dense looping to build the iconic, full silhouette.
Round 1: Start 6 sc in a magic ring. (6)
Round 2: Working in BLO for this round and all subsequent rounds to leave front loops open for the curls, [inc] x 6. (12)
Round 3: [sc 1, inc] x 6. (18)
Round 4: [sc 2, inc] x 6. (24)
Round 5: [sc 3, inc] x 6. (30)
Round 6: [sc 4, inc] x 6. (36)
Round 7: [sc 5, inc] x 6. (42)
Round 8: [sc 6, inc] x 6. (48)
Round 9 to Round 15: sc in each st around in BLO. (48)
Do not fasten off. We will now create the ringlets. Attach yarn to the remaining front loops starting from the bottom rim working upward.
Loop Row: [ch 15, starting in second ch from hook, 2 sc in each ch across, slip stitch into the next front loop of the cap] repeat this sequence continuously until every single open front loop is filled with a dense, bouncy spiral strand.
Fasten off and leave a long thread for sewing.
Shoes & Integrated Legs (Start in Tan Yarn)
We build from the ground up, transitioning smoothly from footwear into leggings and shorts.
Round 1: ch 7, starting in second ch from hook, sc 5, 3 sc in the last chain loop. Turn to work along opposite side of chain: sc 4, inc in the final loop. (14)
Round 2: inc, sc 4, [inc] x 3, sc 4, [inc] x 2. (20)
Round 3: sc 1, inc, sc 4, [sc 1, inc] x 3, sc 4, [sc 1, inc] x 2. (26)

Fasten off the first leg. Repeat the entire process for the second leg, but do not cut the yarn on the second leg.
Round 30: From the second leg, ch 3, join to the first leg with a sc. Complete sc around the first leg, sc 3 along the chain bridge, sc around the second leg, and sc 3 along the back of the chain bridge. (30)

Stuff the legs firmly as you progress.

Round 21: [sc 1, dec] x 6. (12)
Round 22: [dec] x 6. (6)
Fasten off, weaving the tail through the remaining stitches to close the top of the sleeve.
Crossbody Satchel (Start in Brown Yarn)
A highly structured utility accessory to add realism to our layout.
Row 1: ch 9, starting in second ch from hook, sc 8, turn. (8)
Row 2 to Row 14: ch 1, sc 8, turn. (8)
This forms a long rectangle that will fold over itself to build the pocket and the front flap.
Change to Mustard Yellow Yarn for the lower half of the front flap panel.
Row 15 to Row 18: ch 1, sc 8, turn. (8)
Fasten off. Fold the initial brown rows up to form a pocket depth of 5 rows, leaving the remaining rows to fold forward as the top lid flap.
Sew the sides together using matching brown yarn.
For the strap: Attach brown yarn to the left side of the satchel pocket, ch 35, and secure directly to the right side. Thread the strap through your miniature metal buckle before sewing it completely down.
Assembly Instructions
✨ Secure the head directly onto the neck column of the torso, reinforcing the junction with extra stitches using your skin-tone yarn tail to ensure it never tilts.
✨ Position the wig cap over the crown, adjusting it so the edge rests evenly just above the safety eyes. Sew the cap securely along the perimeter using small, hidden stitches.
✨ Pin the balloon sleeves onto the shoulders at Round 44 of the torso, checking that they hang symmetrically before stitching them flat.
✨ Position the satchel strap diagonally across the torso so the bag rests naturally at the hip line.
✨ Use black embroidery floss to sketch out fine lashes, white floss along the lower border of the safety eyes for depth, and soft pink for a minimalist lip line.
