Spring Daisy Duckling Amigurumi Pattern: A Chunky Yarn Crochet Tutorial

Welcome back to our shared space of creation. It is Patricia. Today, we are bringing an absolute vision of spring to life. This project is meticulously engineered to achieve the maximum level of comfort and cuteness. We are honoring the golden rules of the baby schema—a magnificent, oversized head paired with a stout, rounded body. By utilizing plush, chunky chenille yarn, we ensure every stitch contributes to a soft, huggable form. This is a Krocheta signature design, requiring patience and exact stitch placement to execute those beautifully chubby cheeks. Let us begin.

About This Creation

This duckling is not merely assembled; she is sculpted. The secret to her innocent expression lies in the aggressive, asymmetrical increases I have calculated for the lower front of her face. We are forcing the fabric to bloom outward exactly where her cheeks should sit. Furthermore, we anchor her gaze incredibly low and wide, ensuring that undeniably endearing, youthful look. Her wardrobe is entirely removable, allowing for versatile styling.

Assembly Strategy

🪡 Position the beak precisely centered between Rounds 15 and 16, sitting just beneath the eye line. Sew firmly into place.

🪡 Apply a very small amount of pink blush makeup to the cheeks (Rounds 16-18) using a soft brush.

🪡 Sew the wings flat against the sides of the body at Round 25. Angle them slightly forward.

🪡 Sew the feet flat to the bottom of the body (Rounds 35-37). Ensure the duckling can stand balanced.

🪡 Dress the duckling in the cardigan. Pin the 6 daisies to the front and sleeves of the cardigan, then sew them permanently onto the pink fabric.

🪡 Place the hood over the head and tie a gentle bow under the chin.
