The Pattern: The Base Anatomy
Because the head, arms, and legs are structurally identical across all six characters, you will follow these base instructions using the primary color of the specific character you are building.
The Head (Make 1 per character in their primary color)
R1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
R2: [inc] 6 times (12)
R3: [sc in next st, inc] 6 times (18)

Assembly
Precision in construction separates the amateur from the artisan. Follow these anchor points for every character:
➡️ Head to Body: Sew the remaining 18 stitches of the neck to the bottom 18 stitches of the head, ensuring the face points directly forward.
➡️ Legs: Pin the flattened top of the legs to Rounds 5 and 6 of the body, spaced slightly apart so the character can sit balanced. Sew securely.
➡️ Arms: Pin the flattened top of the arms to Rounds 15 and 16 of the body, perfectly aligned with the outer edges of the legs below. Sew securely.
➡️ Ears: Mount ears precisely between Rounds 4 and 8 of the head. For the Rabbit and Donkey, sew them near the crown to allow them to fall or stand appropriately.
➡️ Snouts/Muzzles: Pin snouts centered between the eyes, overlapping Rounds 14 through 17. Stuff protruding snouts firmly before sealing the final stitches.
➡️ Embroidery Details:
- Yellow Bear: Embroider thin black eyebrows two rounds above the eyes. Loop the Brown Pouch strap over one shoulder.
- Orange Tiger: Embroider a pink nose on the white muzzle. Embroider black stripes branching from the sides of the face, top of the head, and torso.
- Blue Donkey: Embroider a vertical black line down the center of the face with small horizontal cross-stitches. Embroider a black nose and drooping eyebrows.
- Cream Rabbit: Embroider a soft pink nose on the muzzle.
- Brown Joey: Embroider a black nose at the tip of the snout.
