About This Creation
Petal is designed using the Krocheta Aesthetic, which prioritizes a large, expressive head and a smaller, soft body. By using velvet yarn, we eliminate the visual “noise” of standard stitches, allowing the sculpted shaping of the jowls and the wide-set eyes to take center stage. This design is not just a toy; it is a study in character-driven crochet mechanics.

Assembly
➡️ Eye Indentation: Before sewing the head, use a strand of yarn to pull the stitches behind the eyes inward slightly. This creates a “socket” look that adds depth to the gaze.
➡️ Snout: Sew the snout centered between the eyes, covering Rounds 14 through 17. Use Deep Rose thread to embroider two small vertical lines for nostrils.
➡️ Ears: Position the ears between Rounds 4 and 9 of the head, angled slightly forward.
