About This Creation
This project is deeply rooted in the Baby Schema aesthetic. We are purposefully constructing a large, heavy head supported by a stout, soft body to achieve our ideal 60/40 ratio. The eyes are positioned low to capture the “Gaze of Innocence,” drawing the viewer immediately into the doll’s sweet expression. Everything here is rounded; there are no sharp tapers in the limbs, ensuring the final piece is an absolute embrace of softness.

➡️ Pin the head securely to the body. Using the long tail from the head, whipstitch exactly around the post of the stitches between the neck and Rnd 23 of the head. Pull the yarn tight after every two stitches.
➡️ Sew the arms exactly at Rnd 20 of the main body, angling them slightly forward.
➡️ Pull the hair cap over the head securely and whip stitch the edge to the head.
➡️ Sew the textured Pigtail Buns onto the left and right sides of the hair cap, directly over Rnds 4 through 8 of the cap.
➡️ Tie the satin ribbons securely around the base of each pigtail bun.
➡️ Use a strand of pink yarn or thread to embroider a tiny horizontal dash for a nose exactly between the eyes at Rnd 15. Apply a soft touch of actual powder blush under the outer corners of the eyes.
